Still catching up- and thoroughly embarrassed by the quality of my work compared to everyone else's!
I have my excuse that it was basic work I was doing to order- and I'm sticking to that excuse!
Simple earrings this week just some wire and beads.

Looking at these earrings, imagine yourself in the birthplace of the Samba dance on a beautiful Ipanema beach. Their shape might even resemble the country of Brazil. They're copper that I oxidized with simple spirals. The challenge for me on these earrings was making them exactly alike considering all the bends in them.

For this one I didn't do any research, I just went with happy colors that make me think of samba dancers. I decided on a green/blue palette and came up with this necklace. It is kyanite, turquoise, green onyx, lapis lazuli, chalcedony, smoky qtz and gold filled wire and chain. The inspiration for the chain part comes from iza's beautiful chains she makes to go with her gorgeous pendants.
Catching up after a very busy week, here is my feeling of Brazil.... A Beautiful country full of hidden treasures!. Here is this pendant like a lost little treasure at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, waiting to be found.....just felt like melting some wire together, added a couple of fresh water pearls and came out this pendant, not so bad I think. Thanks for looking!
On my drive home from work for the last month, I have watched the bare trees put on their tiny green buds in a variety of hues. Every day, more and more leaves appeared with the color of the view ever changing, becoming richer and deeper. Being a lover of all things green, I have a cache of various green stones at all times, just waiting to be used. I envisioned a piece incorporating all (well, a few) of those wonderful shades of green. I sort of got stuck in the
new growth, sort of yellowish hue in this piece, with only a few hints of the mature, deeper green that is yet to appear.
I wanted to incorporate some of the new techiques I have been working on as well, so there is some woven and coiled fine-gauge wire and a hand-wrought clasp. Other components include serpentine in several forms (olivine, and lemon), rhyolite, vesuvianite, green tourmaline, prehnite, olive keishi pearls, and some cool Thai Hill Tribe silver. The big star was a bead cap in a previous life before I hammered it!
Thanks for looking - comments are always welcome!

Ethnic patterns are one of the hottest fashion trends of this season. Those earrings remind me of jewelry with feathers made by Indians.
Cubic zirkonia, carnelian and oxidised fine and sterling silver.

Thank you :)
