Week 52 - Imperial Jasper Pendant
Yeah, late, but I finished!! This last piece was difficult because I wanted to do something spectacular to finish this YOJ. It was frustrating and I now have a graveyard of unfinished and dead pieces. Someday I'll do a spectacular piece, but for now, my style is simple, its what I'm most comfortable with. Hmmm...maybe that's why I didn't grow this year, I stuck with comfortable.
Anyway, I used 20 gauge sterling silver for the frame, 26 for wrapping and 1.8mm beads. The stone is a beautiful Imperial Jasper. I oxidized to finish.
Such wonderful and inspiring work by everyone this past year! I'm so glad I participated! Thank you to everyone. -Nancy
Good for you on finishing!!! You may think simple, but I think spectacular! It is beautiful!
