Still doing shawl pins. Visit my blog for more on the pins at www.livejournal.com/users/thinknaboutit. The first pins were such a hit at the loom store that I've been asked to make more! Since the theme is Vulcan's Forge, this one seemed to fit the bill nicely. It's made from 30g sterling sheet. A hole was sawn in the center and then I ran it through my tube wringer (my newest favorite tool, thanks to Connie Fox.) I soldered on two pieces of tubing and then mounted a large amazonite with black and red inclusions. I needed to ream the the hole in the bead larger with my dremel to accommodate the 16 guage wire for the pin. An LOS finish brings out the corrugation. This one was fun to make! Thank you in advance for your comments.

I knew these fibula's would be a hit! They're great!

I love the style of your shawl pins. And the combination of the amazonite bead (I love that one!) with the silver sheet looks great.

This is a seriously cool pin. We attend the Pleasanton Scottish Games in No. Cal. every year and I know a lot of the kilt wearin' and tartan scarf sportin' lads and lassies would be proud to wear this piece. :-)

HOW FUN! I love your stuff. Can I come and sit with you for a while. Maybe just sitting next to you will allow your greatness to rub off on to me. Your designs are so funky yet elegant, casual, and clean.
